- Photo ID and Social Security cards or ITIN letters for everyone on the return
- W-2s, 1099s and any other income statements
- Last year's return if we did not prepare it
- 1095-A if you had marketplace health coverage
- Mortgage interest, property tax and childcare receipts
- Business income and expense records if you are self-employed
Common questions
Can I file without a Social Security number?
Yes, using an ITIN. We prepare and submit the W-7 application along with your return if you do not already have one.
Do you handle returns for people who worked in more than one state?
Yes. Multi-state filings are routine for us, and they are one of the most common places a self-prepared return goes wrong.
How much does tax preparation cost?
It depends on the complexity of the return. Call us and describe your situation and we will quote you before we start — no surprises at pickup.
What if I have not filed for a few years?
That is more common than you think and it is fixable. We prepare prior-year returns and can help you get current with the IRS.
