Motorcycle, Boat & Specialty
The things you actually enjoy owning.
Specialty vehicles are priced completely differently from cars, and the carriers that are good at them are not the ones that are good at auto. This is a place where being independent matters — we place these where they actually belong.
What we insure
- Motorcycle
- Street bikes, cruisers and touring, including custom parts and accessory coverage.
- Boat & marine
- Hull, motor, trailer, liability on the water, and wreck removal.
- Classic & collector cars
- Agreed-value coverage through Hagerty, so a total loss pays what the car is worth.
- RV & travel trailer
- Coverage that accounts for the vehicle and everything you carry in it.
- ATV & off-road
- Four-wheelers, side-by-sides and off-road use.
Ask us about
- Layup or seasonal rates while the bike or boat is stored for winter
- Agreed-value versus actual-cash-value on a restored vehicle
- Custom parts and equipment coverage above the standard allowance
- Bundling specialty vehicles onto your existing auto or home policy
North Carolina raised its minimums in 2025
Every policy issued or renewed after July 1, 2025 has to carry at least 50/100/50 in liability, with uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage matching. If your premium jumped at renewal, this is usually why.
What North Carolina requiresWe shop these carriers for you
We are an independent agency. We are not tied to one company, so we compare and bring you the best fit.
Carrier names and logos are the property of their respective owners. Availability varies by state and by risk.
Common questions
Do I need insurance on my boat if the state does not require it?
Legally often no, but marinas and lenders usually require it, and liability on the water can be expensive. Most of our boat clients carry it by choice.
What is agreed value and why does it matter for a classic?
Agreed value means you and the carrier settle on the car's worth when the policy is written, and that is what you receive on a total loss. Standard auto policies pay depreciated market value, which badly undervalues a restored car.
Can I pause coverage in the winter?
Many motorcycle and boat carriers offer reduced layup rates for months the vehicle is stored. Do not cancel outright — the gap in coverage can raise your rate later.
What our clients say
4.9 · 301+ Google reviews
“This place is fantastic. They found me a much better rate than what I was paying and actually took the time to explain what each part of the policy meant.”
“I needed a certificate of insurance the same morning to start a job and they had it to me within the hour. They have handled my taxes for three years now too.”
“My rate went up at renewal and nobody at my old company could tell me why. These folks shopped it and put me with a different carrier for less than I was paying before.”
